Call for Proposals is now OPEN   

We welcome both research-based proposals and proposals related to classroom practice. 

The programme is designed to address three main conference areas: 

• Teaching – teaching languages for medical purposes, including both methodology and practical experience of teaching Medical English in the classroom and online;  
• Testing – standardisation of testing in the field of Medical English;   
• Practice – a series of workshops dedicated to various practical aspects of teaching Medical English in the classroom and online, and the enhancement of communication skills for healthcare professionals.  

Submission Guidelines: 

• Proposals should include: a title, abstract (max. 250 words), objectives, target audience, and a brief biography of the presenter(s). Presentations should last 15 minutes, with 5 additional minutes for questions and discussion at the end. 
• Workshop proposals should include the above information and additionally: details on the format and any special, technical requirements. The recommended workshop time is 45 minutes; however, shorter workshop topics may also be considered.

We also kindly ask you to indicate whether your proposal is for a workshop or paper by including this information in the subject line.
