Medical English Test C1 (MET C1)

A specialist exam organised by the JU MC Language Centre twice a year – in the autumn and spring editions.

The exam certifies proficiency in medical English at C1 level (according to the CEFR) and provides tangible support for academic and professional development.

Why take MET C1?

🔹 Specialist focus – assesses knowledge of medical English in academic and clinical contexts, not just general English.

🔹 Support for academic careers – develops skills needed for writing publications, presenting research results, and participating in international conferences.

🔹 International mobility – useful for study or research exchanges, internships, and collaboration with international institutions.

🔹 Career competitiveness – a C1 medical English certificate strengthens your CV and demonstrates readiness to work in international professional settings.

🔹 Benefits for JU MC students – allows exemption from English language courses and the final English exam.

Who is it for?

🔹students and doctoral candidates (including those who have already completed language courses)

🔹teaching, research, and administrative staff

🔹individuals outside the university interested in validating their medical English skills

MET C1 is an investment in your development – validated by a certificate.
